Balpakram National Park will be open to visitors from 1st November 2019

Balpakram National Park (BNP) will open it's gate for visitors from 1st November 2019. Entry to Balpakram National Park requires entry permit issued from the Office of the Director, BNP, Forest Department, Government of Meghalaya, located at Forest Colony, Baghmara, South Garo Hills. Advance application is advised to avail limited accommodation facilities at BNP.

Fees for trip to Balpakram National Park  are as follows (2019) : For INDIAN tourists.
1. Entry fee                              -          Rs 10/- per person
2. Vehicle entry fee                 -          Rs 50/- per vehicle
3. Photography Camera fee   -          Rs 25/- per camera
4. Cell phone fee                     -          Rs 25/- per cell phone
5. Video camera fee                -          Rs 500/- per video camera
6. Plastic water bottle fee      -          Rs 10/- per bottle (
Refundable on submission of bottle)
7. Guide fee                             -          Rs 300/- per guide per day
8. Guest house fee                  -          Rs 500/- per bed per night


100 Drums Wangala Festival 2019 : 7th to 9th November 2019. 

The 3 Day 100 Drums Wangala Festival 2019 will kick off on 7th November 2019 at Asananggre playground with traditional games and special performance by Ruga and Chugan dancers of South Garo Hills.

7th November 2019 :  Traditional Games, Ruga Dance & Chugan Dance.
8th November 2019 : Rugala Ceremony
9th November 2019 : Chachat So'a, Dance by 10 contingents & 100 Drums Wangala.
